Dear Tommy Hilfiger Romania, first of all, please explain to your shop assistants that the customer doesn't really care about what KPIs a shop assistant has. That should stay behind the scenes and it's completely unprofessional to comment to a client about how they're measured against how much they try to help a customer entering the shop, as I was, shockingly enough, explained today in the TH store from Plaza Mall. Second of all, please stop being pushy just for the sake of the damn measurement system and respect a customer's request and privacy. I was greeted when entering the shop and i greeted back, then asked whether I would like some help with anything, at which I replied I would just like to have a look around and I'll let them know whether I wanted any help at the right time. After which I was presented with a variety of options for some pullovers simply because I touched them and yet again, a third time, I was asked whether I would like to have a closer look at the purses behind the glass, just because, again, I had approached the respective shelf. How many more interactions does a person really need with someone before they understand they just want to browse the merchandise in peace?! Nobody will really buy more if they're constantly being harassed and pushed and showed stuff they don't care about that wastes their time or, what's even worse, if someone comes at exactly 0.99 seconds after they touched a piece of merchandise and they 'fix it' buy folding it up to perfection once again, as if they're letting you know you're ruining everything with your touch and feeling the textures is actually not allowed. What is that, a clothes shop or a goddamn museum? Fix the folding when the customer has finished browsing, stop making people feel uncomfortable or they will not enter you store again! Simple as that. People will buy more if they are given the space to make a choice of their own and if help is offered discreetly via a shop asssistant's presence, not insistence. That's about it. Maybe rethink your in-store customer services policy and train your shop assistants to be less naive? Cheers, Monica
